Units Session 2021-22Activities of the during 2021 – 2022The existing CAC Committee members coordinating various activities with effect from 1st April 2021 are as follows:
Career counseling Services – Both present and passed out students can participate in the career counseling programs where they are guided to select different courses for higher studies. The cell also helps to select them different career option. CAC in collaboration with RICE Education-Medinipur conducted “RICE talent scholarship test for the students of UG 3rd& 5th semesters and PG students as well as research scholars to avail the scholarship from RICE Education and many students were benefitted by the events. A Webinar Series on Career Opportunities entitled “Emerging Technologies and their job prospect” were held online in collaboration with IQAC of the college on 19/08/2021.A huge number of for the UG 3rd& 5th semester and PG students were benefitted by the event. A total of 632 participants registered for the webinar and attended the event. Scholarship Help Desk where 1st year students of our college obtain information, forms and assistance for filling up and submission of same for various scholarship schemes like W.B Merit cum Means scholarships, SC/ST scholarships, Minority scholarships, Scholarships for PH students, Jindal Scholarships, Nabanna, Sheela Kanoria scholarships, Colgate Scholarship, Jio Scholarship, Priyambada Birla scholarships, G.P. Birla Scholarships etc. A total of 36 candidates of 2020-2021 session were awarded scholarships by CSR, TATA Metallicks which was coordinated by Scholarship Help Desk of CAC. Central Computer Centre with Internet is maintained for our present students on all days including holidays for our hostel boarders. Library facilities with newspaper, journals and books for competitive examinations are maintained on all days including holidays for our hostel boarders. Psychological Counselling unit continues to function beyond college hours. Here a trained and experienced psychologist and an experienced psychiatrist are available to cater to the mental health of our students. In this pandemic situation, CAC has initiated online psychological counselling sessions with Dr. Nibedita Goswami, an eminent clinical psychologist with an experience of more than 18 years. Certificate courses: For the students registered in 2019-2020 session who did not register in the online certificate courses were registered in offline certificate courses and examination was conducted in the offline mode. Training and Placement Cell: CAC constantly advertises various job vacancies in the college website of its “Information Kiosk” handle. It also helps to arrange for online campus interviews opportunities for the students as well as off-campus interviews. So far 139 students of our college have been placed in various reputed organizations/institutes/companies etc for the academic session 2020-2021. |
