Remedial classes
Remedial Coaching has been introduced in the college during XIth plan period of UGC to improve academic skills and strengthen knowledge of backward groups of SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and minority communities. Students belonging to these classes took the benefit of these extra classes taken by the faculties of this college as well as retired teachers, research scholars and others. With UGC grant, the college has established departmental library having reference books as well as text books which are given to students who cannot afford them.
The College after autonomy has an elaborate mentorship program. All the faculties are mentors of 6-7 students from each semester (UG & PG). The Slow Learner Sub-Committeeas well as the Mentorship Sub-Committeehave been constituted in the College with the primary objective to encourage and assist the academically weaker students to understand their weakness and help them to improve and increase their academic skills.
The mentors identify weak &slow learners who are provided remedial classes taken by reputed professors of colleges, other institutes, and universities. Extra care is being given to them during the COVID scenario. Online remedial classes are also being arranged on regular basis. Remedial classes are also year marked in our college main routine.
