Plantation programme

Plantation offers ample opportunity to enjoy the pollution free surroundings. The NSS units of the college regularly organize plantation programs. During the monsoon season such programs are carried out inside and also outside the college campus. Saplings are collected from the DFO office of Paschim Medinipur. Mr. Rabindranath Saha, DFO, Paschim Medinipur was invited to the college to deliver a lecture on the importance of such activities. Most of the teachers and other people present ensure their participation by planting saplings in the college premises as well as in the adopted villages. In 2017 the motto of this programme was “One Sapling- One Volunteer”.

In the year 2018, Prof. Sankar Kumar Acharya, Professor, Dept. of Agricultural Extension, Bidhanchandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Nadia has delivered his speech on the “Importance of Plantation”. In the same programme Ms. Shweta Parida, Lecturer, Dept. of Food Science & Nutrition, Sambalpur University discussed about the “Forest and Human Health”.
