Minutes of IQAC meeting 2021-22

The feedback report was discussed and it was resolved that an automated online based feedback may be implemented for the future.

It was decided to also include alumni and employers in giving the feedback about the college.

The new guidelines for SSS given by NAAC was discussed and decided to be employed in the college.
It was resolved to establish MOU between institutes and industries for faculty and student exchange, collaborative research work, etc. it was also decided to bring forth faculty linkage also.

  1. Preparation of AQAR 2020-21
  2. To discuss about the Code of Ethics- Policy Document
  3. To discuss on the promotion of research activities.
  4. To strategise the celebration/organisation of national and international commemorative days, events and festivals during the year 2021-22.
  5. To discuss the possible activities of the institution for inculcating values for becoming responsible citizens as reflected in the Constitution of India due the year 2021-22.
  6. To discuss the institutional efforts/ initiatives in providing an inclusive environment i.e. tolerance and harmony towards cultural, regional, linguistic, communal, socio- economic and other diversities during the year 2021-22.
  7. To plan the measures that needs to be initiated by the institution for the promotion of gender equity during the year 2021-22.

It was decided to compile the data for AQAR 2020-21, for this a sensitization workshop to be conducted in the college regarding data compilation and record-keeping amongst all stakeholders.

 

It was decided to formulate the Code- of Ethics Policy Document and a committee was formed with the responsibility to formulate the policy document for all stakeholders.

It was decided to procure a plagiarism checking software as well as initiate the Web of science subscription. It was also decided to conduct awareness programme related to the use of Inflibnet amongst all stakeholders.

It was decided to continue celebrating annually all the important national and international commemorative days, events and festivals such as Janjati Diwas, National Yoga Divas, etc which could not be done in the offline mode due to the pandemic situation.

Quiz competitions, celebration of Voter’s day, participation in state Youth Parliament events were the possible activities which were decided to instill the values for becoming responsible citizens as reflected in the Constitution of India.

It was decided to carry out Winter and Summer schools, cultural programmes about Indian values, establish a “Centre for the Study of Indian Traditional Knowledge and Culture- PARAMPARA” in the college.

It was decided to inform some specific departements [English, Philosophy, Education, Psychology, Bengali and Hindi] to revise their syllabus to include gender equity in the curricula.
It was decided to propose to the college for establishing alternate sources of energy and if possible to establish a solar tree.

The committee was informed about the progress of the preparation of AQAR 2020-2021 and the extension of the date for submission.

 

The Committee formed in the earlier meeting placed before the IQAC the Code of Ethics. It was decided to send this document to the Academic Council and then to the GB for approval.
It was decided to provide faculties with incentives for publications, projects etc along with seed money for minor projects or buying relevant books for promoting research.

It was discussed to establish a pond for pisciculture, fruit orchard and biocompost pits in the college campus as part of green initiatives. For this purpose it was decided to seek funds from various government bodies.

  4. To plan the measures that needs to be initiated by the institution for the promotion of gender equity during the year (2021-2022).
  5. To discuss the issues related to the incorporation of Preparedness for NEP 2020 as given in the revised AQAR Guidelines from the Academic Year 2021-22 by NAAC.
  6. Misc.
The AQAR report of 2020-2021 was placed before the IQAC and approved.

 

As advised by the GB and Academic Council, certain modifications to the Code of Ethics - policy were discussed and decided to incorporate them in order to finalize the policy.

It was decided to conduct workshops related to IPR and research methodology annually in the college by IQAC.

The syllabus of the Departments was placed before IQAC which were revised to incorporate gender equity issues.

IQAC decided to register in the NAD portal and take all out efforts in the incorporation of Preparedness for NEP 2020 as given in the revised AQAR Guidelines from the Academic Year 2021-22 by NAAC.

The IQAC proposed to conduct CITA course for the students who were interested and decided to place it before the Academic Council for approval.
