The Research Policy of the college is as follows:

• To facilitate faculties in undertaking research by providing research facilities in terms of laboratory equipment, research journals and research incentives etc. And make efforts to improve the availability of research infrastructure requirements to facilitate research.
• To encourage and promote a research culture.
• To encourage faculties to foster research collaboration with other research organizations/industry to promote multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research.
• To motivate faculties to approach National and International organizations such as UGC, ICSSR, ICHR, DST, DBT, UNESCO, UNICEF for funding major and minor research projects.

There are two research centres of Raja Narendra Lal Khan Women's College (Autonomous) named as Research Centre of Humanities and Social Sciences & Natural and Applied Sciences under the Ph. D. rules, regulations and guidelines of Vidyasagar University, Midnapore. These Centres started its journey from the academic session 2018-19 when 40 Research Scholars (16 in Humanities and Social Sciences & 24 in Natural and Applied Sciences) were admitted and are doing their research work under supervision of the different faculty members of this institute and other reputed research institutions. In the next session 2019-2020, 31 Research Scholars (12 in Humanities and Social Sciences & 19 in Natural and Applied Sciences) were admitted and are doing their research work.
