About the DepartmentIn 1994, the college has introduced the department of Computer Science, the most challenging subject of modern era to offer General course under Vidyasagar University. Within a short time the Department has played a significant role for introducing the three-year Honours course in Computer Science in 1997. The students of this department have produced top ranking results in the University bringing laurel to the Institution. As a progression towards the next level, M. Sc. Course in Computer Science has been introduced in the year 2017. At present, the intake capacity of B. Sc. Computer Science (Honours) is 40 and M. Sc. Computer Science is 20. The training and placement cell under Career Advancement Cell of our college make arrangements for campus placements for the students. Every year few students get job through campus interview in the companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS etc. In 2017, CBCS Syllabus was introduced by Vidyasagar University to further improve the learning of the student and to realize the reality over time in accordance with the UGC guidelines. In 2018, revised CBCS Syllabus introduced by the College after getting Autonomous Status. In order to achieve the mission to build the intellectual capital of thesociety, department has introduced post graduate program i.e., M. Sc. in Computer Science course in the year 2017. At present, the intake capacity of B. Sc. Computer Science (Honours) is 40 and M. Sc. Computer Science is 20.
