About the DepartmentThe Department of Economics has been functioning since the inception of this college. Initially the Department was known as Civics and later on known as the Department of Economics. The Department has the chequered history. Smt. Indrani Bhattacharya was the First HOD and rendered her service till 2001. Though the Department of Economics is old enough but the same has gained a new dimension with the introduction of honours course in 2001-02. Now it is covered by under graduate course only. |
