Laboratory facilitiesAt present the department is constructed with seven laboratories i.e Histology and hematology, Experimental Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Human Experiment, Clinical Biochemistry and Computer Lab. To improve the teaching learning process, the department is currently continuing with two smart classes. Histology LaboratoryEquipment’s: Compound microscope, Microtome Embedding bath, Hemocytometer, Hemoglobinmeter, Glass goods and Chemicals. Practical done: Staining and examination of fresh tissues, Staining and identification of supplied paraffin sections of mammalian tissues, Hematological studies. Biochemistry LaboratoryEquipment’s: Balance, Gas bumer, Glass goods and Chemicals. Practical done: Qualitative and Quantitative analysis of different biochemical molecules. Experimental LaboratoryEquipment’s: Kymograph, Dale’s apparatus, Perfusion apparatus, Pneumograph, Glass goods and Chemicals. Practical done: Experimental work done on toad’s Sciatic-Gastrocnemious nerve-musde preparations. Effects of different drugs on toads perfused and rats intestine. Microbiology LaboratoryEquipment’s: Compound light microscope, Autoclave, Incubator, Laminar air flow, PH meter. Practical done: Isolation, culture preparation, characterization of Bacteria. Staining of gram positive and gram negative bacteria, Sterilization. Clinical Biochemistry LaboratoryEquipment’s: Spectrophotometer, Homogenizer, Incubator, Water bath, Digital Balance, Centrifuge, Glass goods and chemicals. Practical done: Photo-chemical estimation of blood constituents, Analytical biochemistry. Human Experiments LaboratoryEquipment’s: ECG machine, Bicycle ergometer, Anthropometric measuring instruments, Sphygmomanometer, Stethoscope, weighing machine. Practical done: Measurements of Blood Pressure, Heart rate, Respiratory rate, Measurement of BMI, BSA Electrocardiogram. |
