About the DepartmentThe department of Bengali with all its dignity prepared the ground for this dream since its inception in 1957, when Raja N.L. Khan women’s College emerged as a dream of Dr. B.C. Roy for women emancipation. In the very auspicious moment, the College started with the first class in Bengali. That’s why the Bengali Department is the oldest Department in this College. Our department was started with General Course since 1957, then Honours Course was introduced from 1965 and at present this Department is flourishing with Post Graduate Studies from 2016. It’s our pleasure to convey that Ph.D. research work is going on under the supervision of the faculty’s utmost care from the Academic Session 2018-2019. |
