Minutes of IQAC meeting 2023-24

07.05.24 1. To discuss on the AQAR report of 2022-2023. The submitted AQAR report was well appreciated by all the members. It was resolved that the IIQA for NAAC accreditation to be submitted within May positively. It was also resolved to start data collection for preparing the AQAR report of 2023-2024. IIQA was submitted on 27th May, 2024. The data collection for preparing the AQAR report of 2023-2024 has been started.
2. To determine steps which needs to be taken for providing equitable opportunity for the socio-economically disadvantaged groups [SEDGs] in the college as per UGC guidelines. It was resolved to form a committee for providing equitable opportunity for the socio-economically disadvantaged groups [SEDGs] in the college. It was decided to inform all the academic departments to discuss amongst themselves the various initiatives that can be taken to provide equitable opportunity for the socio-economically disadvantaged [SEDGs] students. The SEDG committee was composed by the Principal. All the UG and PG departments are framing the various initiatives that may be taken to offer equitable prospect for the socio-economically disadvantaged [SEDGs] students which will be discussed in the next Teacher Council Meeting.
3. To discuss about the UGC Guidelines for Internship/Research Internship for Under Graduate Students. The UGC Guidelines for Internship/Research Internship for Under Graduate Students was discussed thoroughly. It was resolved that a policy needs to be drafted by the end of 5th semester of the present NEP batch for the college which will guide the various UG departments and the Principal was authorised to proceed forward. It was also resolved to initiate MoUs with various industries and institutes so that a pool is developed from beforehand whereby the students can avail Internship/Research Internship when the need arises. The policy is being drafted after taking into account the UGC guidelines for Internship/Research Internship for Under Graduate Students. 4. To note the UGC circular D.O. F. No.-1-8/2014 (SCT) dated April 19th, 2024 regarding implementation of reservation of the Govt of India. It was unanimously resolved that reservation policy of the Govt of India should be implemented strictly in the forthcoming new admission in UG and PG along with the State Govt. Guidelines. As conveyed by the UG Admission Committee Convenor, the new UG admission for the academic session 2024-2025 has taken into account the reservation policy of the Govt of India along with the State Govt. Guidelines.
5. To note the UGC circular D.O. No. 'l-1t2o24(cPP-ll) (C.No.ra1118) dated 15th April, 2024 regarding Compliance to Academic Calendar by Higher Education institutions (HEls). It was resolved in the meeting that the Academic Calender prepared by the Academic Sub-Committee should comply with the said UGC circular. For this the NSS programme officer, NCC Incharge Sports Committee and Cultural Committee should provide the dates of the events to be organised in the 2024-2025 session from beforehand. Also, it was resolved that as the academic session of 2023-2024 was ongoing, hence the detailed Academic Calender with the events be incorporated and uploaded in the college website. The detailed Academic Calender for the academic 2024-2025 session is being prepared by the Academic Sub-Committee were all the possible dates of the regular events organised by the college is being incorporated.
6. To publicize about the Tele- MANAS helpline which is available for the benefit of those in need of mental health and wellness services, free of cost and available 24x7 as per the UGC circular D.O.No.2-2512023(CPP-ll) dated 04th April, 2024. It was resolved that all the mentors of the college be informed to publicize the Tele- MANAS helpline to the students. CAC was also informed to have the counselling sessions on a regular basis. All the mentors of the college will be informed to publicize the Tele- MANAS helpline to the students from the beginning of the academic 2024-2025 session. Also the Tele-MANAS helpline is displayed in the electronic Notice-Board of the college.
7. To note the compliance of the UGC circular D.O.No.z-rrl2o24(CPP-II) r3 dated March 2024 regarding establishing crèche in the colleges. It was mentioned in the meeting that the college has already taken a step to establish a “Child Care Centre” in the campus to provide crèche facilities from December, 2022. College has further engaged a person whi takes care of the children and alsoa teacher who guides to play and perform tasks.
8. Misc. i) To provide a CCTV for the Library Circulation Section in the Ground floor. It was resolved that a CCTV may be installed in the Library Circulation Section in the Ground floor Purchase procedure for a CCTV to be installed in the Library Circulation Section in the Ground floor has been initiated.
